Nevada Murder Suspect Dies In Stand-Off

The man being sought in connection with a Carson City, Nevada murder who authorities had thought might be headed to Driggs, Idaho was died during a stand-off with Reno, Nevada police Monday.  29 year-old Michael Dylan Brentlinger had beenaccused of shooting his ex-girlfriend and her father with a .45-caliber semi-automatic handgun. The father died in Saturday’s shooting, and the woman was hospitalized with head injuries.  She is expected to survive. Police says Brentlinger turned his gun on himself when police cornered him in a park and attempted to talk him into giving himself up.  Based on an entry on Brentlinger’s Facebook page, authorities had believed he might be returning to Driggs where he had previously resided.
