IPSSSDR Contestents Prepare For Race

IPSSSDR

The 2014 IPSSSDR begins from downtown Jackson the end of this month. Some early season races in Alaska were cancelled due to poor weather conditions, but there are more races scheduled in which many of this year’s Stage Stop are participating. This provides a chance to shake out teams and evaluate dogs for individuals so they have their strongest showing at Wyoming. Strong competitors for the upcoming race include Aaron , Bud Streeper , Ryan Redington, Dave Turner, Jerry Bath, Bruce Magnusson, JR Anderson, and Stacey Teasley. Altogether, 17 teams met the November 15th deadline to enter the race. The race steps off from the town square January 31st  making stops in Alpine, Wyoming, West Yellowstone, Montana, Pinedale, Big Piney, Kemmerer, Mountain View, Lyman, and Evanston, Wyoming – concluding in Evanston February 8th.

A weak ridge of high pressure will build over the region today, which will allow temperatures to become warmer and closer to average statewide.  However, some lingering low-level moisture and daytime heating could trigger a few hit or miss thunderstorms for the afternoon and early evening hours.  Gusty winds and lots of lightning will be […]
  • GPS will sometimes lead you to astray - August 29, 2014
At the risk of sounding like I’ve been watching too much Top Gear, I need to go off on a bit of a rant right now. The good folks at Nissan let me drive a Titan for two full months, which was really nice of them. And it’s done a pretty good job of filling […]
