As the town of Jackson reconstructs Cache Street south of the downtown area, the town’s art association is seeking artistic contributions to incorporate into the pavers.  The selected artist or team will design and fabricate pavers that will be integrated into the overall paving pattern set for South Cache, and then repeat the pavers’ theme and key imagery into two one-color street paintings designed to highlight new crosswalks. The project’s $18,000 budget supports design and fabrication of custom pavers and the stenciled street paintings. Interested artists must be able to provide their qualifications by February 3rd to www.callforentry.org ; and if selected, provide conceptual proposals by March 14th. The finished pavers must be delivered by May 1st, and the street painting will be completed by June 1st.

  • The Grizzlies Won’t Be a Pushover [AUDIO] - August 29, 2014
The Wyoming Cowboys open up their football season at home against Montana tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon in Laramie.  It’s the first meeting between the two schools since 1997, and the Grizzlies enter the game as the fifth-ranked team in the FCS. On defense, the Cowboys top priority is to stop the run.  With a talented quarterback […]
  • Warmer Temperatures With Isolated Thunderstorms Expected Today - August 29, 2014
A weak ridge of high pressure will build over the region today, which will allow temperatures to become warmer and closer to average statewide.  However, some lingering low-level moisture and daytime heating could trigger a few hit or miss thunderstorms for the afternoon and early evening hours.  Gusty winds and lots of lightning will be […]
