Weather Still Snarling Air Traffic

flight delays

Weather across the nation continues to impact flights in and out of Jackson Hole as it has since the beginning of January.  As in the previous several days, Director of Operations Craig Logan says several flights Monday, especially those connecting to the east coast, were delayed or cancelled due to weather-impacted flights elsewhere. He says really, many areas to the east of Jackson are being hit by the winter system, and even flights that are going out are having to take circuitous routes to their destinations. For that reason, Logan suggests those anticipating flights in or out of the valley should keep in touch with the airlines.  Logan says people should check their emails frequently since the airlines will send passengers bulletins regarding their flight status.  Alternatively, he says people should check the airline websites to get updates on the flights. Logan points out that when flights are canceled or delayed in other parts of the country, it ripples through the entire system; and so even though it may be a beautiful day in Jackson Hole, the flights may still be affected.
