Crews completed repair work on a stringer supporting the Swinging Bridge ahead of schedule, enabling that bridge to be opened yesterday.  The repair consisted of replacing one of the wooden beams that supports the bridge deck.  The stringer deficiency was identified during the Wyoming Department of Transportation’s annual bridge inspection.  Now, Teton County Road and Levee Department’s Dave Gustafson says crews have begun work on Cattleman’s Bridge on Spring Gulch Road.  He says similar to the work on Swinging Bridge, this work also involves the replacement of stringers below the deck, but will not require the complete closure of the bridge.  However, he cautions that delays are possible.  Work is anticipated to be completed on the Cattleman’s Bridge around January 15th.
