The Wyoming Game and Fish Department has imposed changes in hunting regulations as they pertain to wild bison.  Beginning this year, a person who is issued an “any wild bison” license and harvests a bull bison will not be eligible to apply for, or receive an “any wild bison” license in any future year, but will be eligible to apply for and receive a female or calf wild bison license the following year. Likewise, if a hunter harvests a female or calf wild bison on their “any wild bison” license they will be ineligible to apply for or receive a female or calf license in the immediately following five years, but they can apply for and receive an “any wild bison” license in the immediately following year.  On the other hand, any person who harvests a female or calf wild bison on a female or calf wild bison license, will not be eligible to apply for or receive an “any wild bison” license or a female or calf wild bison license in the immediately following five year period.  Also starting this year, applicants are required to submit the full license fee at the time of application, as is required for all other species.

But you’d be wrong. The last total lunar eclipse visible in Wyoming was way back in 2009, if I’m not mistaken. So I’ve been looking […]

  • Back to normal at the trap range - April 17, 2014
By some strange luck, I shot really well last week in our trap league. But last night, I didn’t do so well. Not even close. The thing about shooting trap is that you’re bound to have good rounds once in a while. Those good nights give you hope that you’re improving. For some people, that […]
