Driggs To Get A Library

January 21, 2014 State of Idaho, Teton Valley No Comments
Valley of Tetons Library

The community of Driggs, Idaho may at last get a public library.  A supplemental tax levy for Valley of the Tetons Library has been placed on the May ballot to pay for leased space in Driggs.  If the measure is passed, a branch library would be established for two years to determine the demand.  Then, says Librarian Susie Blair, a ten-year levy would be sought to fund a more permanent building or facility based on the usage of the temporary facility.  Blair also says the library is outgrowing its current facility in Victor, and a branch library would increase the library’s square footage to house its growing collection and services.  She assures, however the library in Victor would continue to operate concurrently.
