Popular Conference Gets New Owner

A popular Jackson Hole event, the Western Design Conference held annually in September during the Jackson Hole Fall Arts Festival has been purchased by local resident Allison Merritt who has plans for expansion in 2014.  After acting as the Events Manager of the Western Design Conference for seven years, Merritt purchased the event and announced plans to expand the offering to include a home and interior design feature as well as a larger fashion shopping experience.  The Western Design Conference is a juried show that offers more than $16-thousand in prize money.  Heading into its 22nd year, the September event is expected to draw increased national attention according to a news release announcing the sale.
