You can’t buy a Wyoming hunting license over the counter as in the past anymore.  Wyoming Game and Fish Department officials are saying they have been getting a myriad of calls from confused hunters asking if they can purchase their licenses in person.  However, the department announced last month that as a cost saving measure, licenses could only be obtained online for 2014.  A department statement pointed out that the majority of hunters already were submitting applications through the department’s electronic licensing system with 95 percent of applications from both resident and non-residents coming in in this manner. Still, all nine game and fish offices in the state are prepared to help those who need assistance with the new method.

  • A lunar eclipse, and me without my camera - April 18, 2014
Monday night, or more accurately early Tuesday morning, there was a total lunar eclipse. And being the experienced nature photographer I am, you’d think I was ready with my camera. But you’d be wrong. The last total lunar eclipse visible in Wyoming was way back in 2009, if I’m not mistaken. So I’ve been looking […]
