Victor, ID To Get A Facelift

Victor Facelift

The City of Victor will be getting a “new” business district on and around Main Street in Victor later this year. Under a proposed plan, a stop light at the intersection of Main Street and Center Street will allow pedestrians to cross the street more safely and facilitate automobile traffic. The sidewalks on Center Street are to be reconstructed with new street lights and paving. Those improvements will lead pedestrians to Depot Way, where a parking area, pavilion with picnic tables, and public restrooms will be constructed at the historic Depot. Town planners say issues with pipes freezing in the winter will be alleviated thanks to a new water main that will have been installed on the south side of West Center Street. City officials hope the enhancements will provide visual cues that will invite residents and visitors to stop and spend time in town.  Victor residents and others interested will have three opportunities to hear more about the construction projects beginning with a meeting at 6:00 pm at the Victor City Hall Tuesday.
