Only a couple minutes separate the leaders in the 19th annual International Pedigree Stage Stop Sled Dog Race after its third leg of competition. The race began with a brief ceremonial run in Jackson Friday, followed by more serious legs in Alpine, Wyoming Saturday and West Yellowstone Sunday. Bud Streeper from Fort Nelson, British Columbia is in the lead with a cumulative time of seven hours, 50 minutes while John Stewart from Scotland is a short distance behind with eight hours, 13 minutes as his total time from the three legs of the race. Jackson Hole’s Stacey Teasley is in seventh place with a total time of eight hours, 57 minutes. The race continues in Lander today.
