Changes to the application process have led to an extension of the application period for those concessioners wanting to provide snowmobile or snowcoach tours into Yellowstone National Park beginning next year.  Park Spokesman Al Nash says the changes were in response to comments submitted by local business operators during the rule-making process earlier this year.  Nash says the park received comments from business operators who were interested in submitting proposals to provide over-snow service in Yellowstone in the future leading to the park making some changes to the prospectus.  They then notified all those operators who had expressed interest in the issue that the deadline was being extended. The new deadline to submit an application is Monday, February 10th.  The contract terms for 23 operators will be for ten years. The Park Service anticipates announcing the selection of the successful concessioners in April.

  • Back to normal at the trap range - April 17, 2014
By some strange luck, I shot really well last week in our trap league. But last night, I didn’t do so well. Not even close. The thing about shooting trap is that you’re bound to have good rounds once in a while. Those good nights give you hope that you’re improving. For some people, that […]
  • Cowboy O-Line Being Told To Be the Hammer, Not the Nail [AUDIO] - April 16, 2014
The Wyoming Cowboy football team will have one more practice before Saturday’s spring game.  The major focus this spring, at least for the offensive line, is to be more physical and deliver the blows.  As offensive line coach Scott Fuchs tells the unit, “be the hammer, not the nail”.  That’s a difference in philosophy between […]
