Grand Teton National Park Spokesperson Jackie Skaggs has announced that US Highwy 26/89/191 through the park has been closed from the Moose to Moran due to blowing and drifting snow. Skaggs said Sunday morning that crews were working to open the road, but it was blowing shut again behind them. By 9:00 am, however, the road was reopened. Still, travelers are advised to check for road conditions in the area at the WYDOT website before setting out. Meanwhile, the Bridger Teton National Forest Avalanche Center advises avalanche danger throughout the region is high at the upper and middle elevations, and considerable at the lower elevations. Extreme caution is advised.
