State of State 2014 Online 2

During yesterday’s State of the State address, Wyoming Governor Matt Mead called for continued support for the tourism industry.  He spoke of efforts he has made in traveling to foreign countries to promote state tourism, but said this is still more to be done. Mead told the joint session, “We have great momentum, we’ve made great progress, let’s keep the momentum going.  I have recommended added funding for tourism including funds for expanding marketing efforts to new markets.”  Mead added that programs at the University of Wyoming and the state’s community colleges are developing curricula to help students prepare for careers in tourism and energy which are areas where the state is hoping to diversify its economy, and so deserve the state’s continued support.

  • Back to normal at the trap range - April 17, 2014
By some strange luck, I shot really well last week in our trap league. But last night, I didn’t do so well. Not even close. The thing about shooting trap is that you’re bound to have good rounds once in a while. Those good nights give you hope that you’re improving. For some people, that […]
