After 26 years as Jackson’s Municipal Judge, Tom Jordan has submitted a letter to the Mayor and Jackson Town Council expressing his intent to retire from public service. In his letter, Judge Jordan set a retirement date of March 10th, and offered extended training to help his replacement.  Jordan says, “It has been a rewarding experience to serve the citizens of Jackson, first as a police officer in the 1970’s and then from 1988 until the present as the municipal judge.”  Jordan says he will continue to serve as a magistrate for the Circuit Court.  There was no immediate word on efforts to seek Jordan’s replacement in Municipal Court.
