A party of six snowmobilers from Minnesota was located yesterday afternoon after spending a cold night out on Togwotee Pass. Undersheriff Bob Gilliam says the group had become stuck, and then after becoming mobile again, became disoriented and opted to spend Tuesday night before seeking their way out again by daylight. Gilliam says the Teton County Sheriff’s Office was notified about the overdue party about 6:15 pm Tuesday and began planning for search efforts to begin Wednesday morning. Meanwhile, snowmobile guides from Togwotee Mountain Lodge continued their search through the night. Efforts Wednesday morning rallied 40 searchers from Teton County Search and Rescue, Fremont County Search and Rescue, Sublette County’s “Tip Top Search and Rescue, ” Grand Teton National Park Rangers and personnel from Bridge-Teton National Forest. The six were located shortly after noon Wednesday eleven miles southwest of Togwotee Mountain Lodge near Tripod Peak. Gilliam says the group was cold, but otherwise unharmed. The six have been identified as Max Jacoby, Richie Jacoby, Kyle Ryman, Aaron Peine, Brent Zeien and Travis Krinkle; all from Hastings, Minnesota.
