Yellowstone National Park yesterday announced its schedule for opening the park to wheeled vehicles in the spring, and Spokesman Al Nash says the long and the short of it is the opening dates are projected to be back to normal this year. Nash says the entrances and road segments will once again be opened in phases, with the first section to be opened once again to be from Mammoth to Madison Junction and on to West Yellowstone, Montana to the west and Old Faithful to the south. Opening date for that segment, he says will be April 18th. Nash says there are some changes for opening dates, but they are minor changes involving specific concessions within the park. Nash the schedule has been published now on the park website and is available to the public as they make their spring and summer plans.
