Senator Mike Enzi visited with constituents in Jackson Hole Friday about issues being dealt with in Washington that impact them. In addition to those catching headlines every day, Enzi says there is a host of concerns just “under the radar.” He says among them are the pathways through Grand Teton National park and the necessary improvements to the Moose-Wilson Road in the Park. Says Enzi: “That is an important artery for people to both enjoy the park, and to get from one place to another around here.” Another issue involves what he says are inordinately high amount of liability insurance that guides and outfitters here must have, especially for whitewater trips. He says it’s much higher than what is required in other national parks. Finally, he says with the park fees program about to expire, he and other legislators are working on how to address maintaining that essential income for the parks.
