Speechies Second In State
The 3A action among the twelve schools entered in the 2011 Wyoming State High School Forensics Tournament last weekend centered on Jackson, Hot Springs and Worland, who have been vying for top honors at meets all season long. In the end, Jackson placed second to Worland, with Hot Springs being ranked third. However, two Jackson competitors, Veronica Patterson and Alex Duncker won individual championship crowns. Altogether, the 2011 meet found nearly 400 students, representing 32 Wyoming high schools, competing in ten different speech and debate events.
