Fall River Rural Electric Cooperative in eastern Idaho is once again offering college scholarships to local area high school graduating seniors whose parents or guardians are members of the co-op. A member is anyone who receives electric service from Fall River, whether at a permanent residence, a vacation property, or commercial business. Over the years, Fall River Electric has awarded over $400,000 in these scholarships. Fall River Electric scholarships start at a value of $500 and can be worth up to $2,000 over a four-year period. In order to apply, graduating seniors must have at least a 2.0 grade point average. Selection criteria also include financial need and extra-curricular achievement. Applications are now being accepted from seniors in seven districts including Teton School District #401 in Teton Valley. Application forms can be found on the cooperative’s website.
