Town and County Share Planning Director

toj-tco

Jackson Town Council and Teton County Commissioners entered into an agreement Monday that allows the Town of Jackson Planning Director to provide management and leadership services for the Teton County Planning and Development Department.  The move help fills the void left when Teton County Planner Jeff Daugherty left the county to take a job elsewhere.  Jackson Planner Tyler Sinclair will serve as the county’s Planning and Development agency head, serving as an adviser to the county on the day to day management of the office, and will ensure alignment between County planning activities and Board directives regarding land use policies and building codes. Commission Chairman Hank Phibbs applauded the move saying the agreement allows the community to move its planning needs forward with “one valley one vision”, as envisioned and outlined in the jointly approved Jackson/Teton County Comprehensive Plan.

In my opinion, everybody should go hunting each weekend of the hunting season. You don’t have to go after elk or deer every time. Change it up a little. Hunt doves on the first weekend, then try to get a blue grouse or two the next. Later in the fall, you can start working duck […]

The Wyoming Cowboys open up their football season at home against Montana tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon in Laramie.  It’s the first meeting between the two schools since 1997, and the Grizzlies enter the game as the fifth-ranked team in the FCS. On defense, the Cowboys top priority is to stop the run.  With a talented quarterback […]
  • Warmer Temperatures With Isolated Thunderstorms Expected Today - August 29, 2014
A weak ridge of high pressure will build over the region today, which will allow temperatures to become warmer and closer to average statewide.  However, some lingering low-level moisture and daytime heating could trigger a few hit or miss thunderstorms for the afternoon and early evening hours.  Gusty winds and lots of lightning will be […]

At the risk of sounding like I’ve been watching too much Top Gear, I need to go off on a bit of a rant right now. The good folks at Nissan let me drive a Titan for two full months, which was really nice of them. And it’s done a pretty good job of filling […]
