(JACKSON) Bridger Teton National Forest has issued a public scoping notice for the proposed snowmaking facilities and associated infrastructure at Snow King Mountain Resort in Jackson. Additionally, a conduit to carry fiber optic cable for communications would be buried for future cabling in the same trench. Snow King is one of the original ski areas to be permitted by the US Forest service and so has had a cooperative relationship with the National Forest for over 70 years. If approved, that project would be constructed this summer. Details of the plan and instructions for submitting public comments are available online.
