(POWELL)  The Jackson Hole High School Speech and Debate team placed second at the Panther Classic, held at Powell High School Friday and Saturday. Jackson was outscored by Rawlins by a single point, earning 23 to Jackson’s 22 sweepstakes points.  However, because the meet was added to the roster late in the season, only 15 of the 35-member Jackson team competed.  Following Jackson was Cody with19 points; Worland with 16, Star Valley had 15 and Lovell 4. The team next travels to Rock Springs on March 13-15 to defend its 3A championship and then competes the next weekend in Riverton at the National Forensic League’s national qualifying tournament.
