Mead told members of the Media Friday that due to the just-concluded legislative session, campaigning will be a little more difficult than when he first ran. Mead says as time allows, he will visit with people in various communities about his intention to run, even though by that time it won’t be breaking news. He explains that it is difficult to make to rounds right after the legislative session, unlike when he first ran and made his announcement in three different parts of the state. Cheyenne Physician Dr. Taylor Haynes has announced plans to run against Mead in the Republican primary, and Secretary of Public Instruction Cindy Hill has been considering candidacy on the Tea Party Ticket.
