Cow Killing Grizzly Moved to New Location

May 28, 2014 Greater Yellowstone No Comments

Wyoming Game and Fish trapped and moved a male grizzly bear after the animal killed livestock in Thermopolis, Wyoming. U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and Caribou-Targhee National Forest decided the bear should be moved to the Boone Creek drainage about three miles south of the Yellowstone National Park boundary and three miles east of the Idaho-Wyoming state line. Grizzly bears are considered threatened under the Endangered Species Act so the three organizations took care to make sure the bear was transferred to a safe environment
