Teton County Weed and Pest is assuring the community that despite the COVID-19 disruption of regular activities around the community, Weed and Pest will continually serve the community this season but from a safe distance. The office will be closed to the public; however, they will be available for questions by phone messages, usually responding within 1-2 business days; and may also be contacted through the agency’s website. Once consultation begins on June 1st, social distancing practices will be in place and virtual consultations will be made available. Backpacks will not be available for loan for safety reasons this season, however they may be purchased at a reasonable cost to the community. Weed and Pest also has an herbicide request form newly added to the website to make it easier to place orders in order to help meet your needs. Finally, mosquitoes, as we know, are resilient pests and the agency plans to focus treatments primarily on the areas where West Nile Virus has presented in the past.
