Mead Addresses Graduates

Graduate

138 Jackson Hole High School seniors were presented their diplomas Saturday during the 2011 graduation ceremony.   Governor Matt Mead was the guest speaker at the graduation.  A graduate of Jackson Hole High School and former class president himself, Mead told the students he took his inspiration from a young boy who had been sent home from the Jackson school with a note that said he was uneducable because of a speech problem.  The young boy persevered none-the-less and came to lead a very successful life.  The boy was Mead’s grandfather, Senator Cliff Hansen.  Mead urged the students to never be discouraged by life’s obstacles, and to remain true to themselves.
