Gasoline Prices Inch Down
Gas prices around Teton County have been falling noticeably this week. Currently, Motor Trend’s survey of prices in the valley averages $3.69 per gallon ranging from the lowest price for unleaded regular of $3.62 to the highest price of $3.79. Gasoline in Teton Valley currently averages $3.72. Nationally, AAA Auto Club’s Fuel Gauge lists the national average at $3.61 with the lowest price currently found in South Carolina at $3.35-7. Wyoming is in 23rd place at $3.60 per gallon. Meanwhile, the persistently high gasoline prices will likely discourage some from traveling over the Independence Day Holiday, according to AAA. The Auto Club Forecasts a 2.5% decline in travel from last year’s level and many of those who do travel will opt for shorter trips. While automobile travel will continue to dominate the chosen form or transportation, AAA says the number traveling by air will increase by nine percent for this year’s holiday.
