Tin Cup Challenge Sees Growth
The fourth annual Tin Cup Challenge race and fundraiser in Teton Valley, Idaho posted increases in attendance, race participants and funds raised over the weekend, according to race organizers. Community Foundation of Teton Valley Executive Director Shannon Hamby says while the donation period is still open, contributions raised so far appear ahead of the event’s previous three years. Hamby says the donation of matching funds this year is up about $50-thousand from last year bringing with it another $50-thousand from an anonymous donor. Racers included those competing in marathon, half marathon, team marathon, 10K, 5K and one tin cup. Hamby estimates that the festivities in Driggs City Park drew over 1200 people to participate in the activities provided at the booths of the various non-profits involved in the fund-raiser.
