Teens Nabbed In Star Valley Car Burgs.
An 18-year-old Alpine youth was arrested Monday and formally charged yesterday in connection with burglaries from thirteen vehicles in the Star Valley Ranch area. According to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s office, Nathaniel Shockey and two accomplices were determined to have been responsible for the thefts of a variety of items including Mp3 players, cameras, GPS units, handguns and a hunting rifle. An official release from the sheriff’s office says that all of the burglarized vehicles had been left unlocked on or about July 17th. Shockey now faces 13 felony counts of burglary – each carrying a maximum penalty of ten years in prison and a $10-thousand fine. The two teenage accomplices are to be charged at a later date. Most of the stolen belongings were recovered.
