House Passes Healthcare Bill
The Wyoming House of Representatives yesterday passed House Bill 35 that created the “Health Care Choice and Protection Act” and sent it on to the state Senate. This new act allows for a citizen of Wyoming the right to choose or decline to choose any mode of securing health care without risk of penalty or threat of penalty. The new act goes on to state that no law shall restrict a person’s natural right and power of contract to choose private health care. Teton County’s Representative Keith Gingery says Republican members of the House who supported the bill believed that it was important for the Wyoming Legislature stand alongside Governor Mead, against the Federal Government the Affordable Care Act which Wyoming and several other states are challenging in Federal Court.
