Reservoirs Still Full
Things may be starting to dry out throughout the region, but it appears there is no shortage of water for irrigation. Even though it’s nearly mid-August, the reservoirs throughout the Snake River Basin still range from 97% to 100% filled. By comparison, Bureau of Reclamation statistics show that water was being drafted from the reservoirs in late June last year. Currently, the bureau reports slightly less than 4-million acre-feet of water is impounded in the system.
