Mead Ecourages Tourism
Wyoming Governor Matt Mead told those attending the state Hospitality and Tourism Conference in Cheyenne Tuesday Night that the industry remained amazingly resilient during recession-impacted 2009. Mead assured the industry leaders in attendance that that is why the industry continues to make significant contributions to the overall state economy. Mead says those who market Wyoming tourism also provide a leading effort for other economic activity. Mead says he has frequently encountered business leaders who first came to Wyoming for recreation, experienced its assets and determined there were opportunities to be taken advantage of by relocating their business here. Mead asked the travel interests to recognize the core values that bring people to Wyoming and seek ways to work together with other industries to protect those core values.
