More Police Interviews

jacksonpolice

The Jackson Police Department continues to narrow its focus in the investigation into a shooting Tuesday that left a 19-year-old Jackson man hospitalized. Clancy Shaffer continues to convalesce in an Idaho Falls hospital with a gunshot wound to his left shoulder. Meanwhile, Sergeant Cole Nethercott says investigators are continuing to conduct more interviews and more searches to get a better handle on the circumstances surrounding the attack. Nethercott quickly adds that it continues to be the department’s belief that the shooting was an isolated incident and residents in the area need not be concerned about a repeated or random event. Nethercott says progress is being made in the case and investigators hope to have the case resolved as quickly as possible. Meanwhile, police are still seeking tips from the public which may be provided at 733-1430 or through CrimeStoppers at 733-5148. CrimeStoppers is offering a reward of up to $5000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individual responsible.
