Teton County Schools Open
Today is the day students return to their classes in Teton County, Wyoming; and that means drivers in the morning and afternoon will be sharing the roads again with those familiar yellow school busses. Teton County Sheriff Jim Whalen says it also means that children will be gathering alongside the road to wait for those school busses in the morning, or being dropped off at those same locations in the afternoon. However, Whalen says the students may not be the only ones who have gotten out of practice over the summer. Drivers may have forgotten where and when to expect to encounter the school busses. Whalen says his department will have extra patrols out through the first days of school to help remind people how important it is to be watchful for the kids and to obey the red light law with regard to school busses.
