Old Bills Enjoys Top Turn-out

OldBillsRunners

Several thousand participants arrived on the Jackson Town Square Saturday to participate in the 15th annual Old Bill’s Fun Run for Charities wearing their favorite Old Bill’s shirt from the last 14 years. The event combined with the perfect fall weather to inspire the crowd to linger with their friends and neighbors, learn more about the community’s many non-profit organizations, enjoy a breakfast burrito with ingredients from the Bunnery prepared by local boy scouts, and to listen to some local musicians. Race winners had the opportunity to distribute their winnings, from $50 to $1250, to their favorite participating nonprofits. Community Foundation Director Katherine Conover says that donations are still pouring in, but already, nearly $4.5 million has been raised through the event for local organizations. Conover says donations are being accepted at the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole office and online at www.oldbills.org until 5:00 pm Friday. The final dollar amount raised and match percentage is to be announced October 24th at the annual Old Bill’s Awards Party.
