School Enrollment Finalized
The final count is in for the beginning of the 2011/2012 school year at Teton County School District #1. As of September 13th, when enrollment became official, the combined school population was 2,424 students. 651 are high school students, 533 are middle school students and 1240 are elementary students. A significant statistic involves the incoming kindergarten class which this year totals 261 students who make up the largest collective kindergarten class in the district’s history. The report to the school board shows this year’s 2,424 number was identical to last year’s but was about 100 fewer in both 2009 and 2008.
