Missing Woman Found Deceased

The body of a woman missing since August 27th has been found in the Upper Hoback area of Sublette County.  57-year-old Paula McNeel had disappeared after she reportedly left Big Piney for Pinedale in her car. She had been the subject of extensive search by search and rescue personnel and sheriff’s officials until that search was suspended September 6th.  Then about 8:00 pm Saturday, a hiker reported to the Teton County dispatch center of finding the woman’s body in the Upper Hoback region west of Bare Creek, and the matter was turned over to the Sublette County sheriff’s office when the location was determined to be south of the county line. Sublette County Sheriff Dave Lankford says the incident is currently under investigation by this agency and an autopsy is scheduled this week to determine cause of death.
