Jackson Hole High School Speech Team placed first overall in varsity events among 3A schools at the Natrona County High School “Mustang Classic,” adding to an already impressive season record. Speech Coach Mark Hauser says the Casper Meet proved to be the largest and most challenging of the year, with thirty teams competing in twelve events. Nearly every team who will participate at the State Tournament was present. Jackson collected 32 varsity sweepstakes points while the other nine 3A schools earned only 43 points collectively. The team will host its own invitational tournament next weekend, and Hauser says the public is invited to attend and watch some of Wyoming’s most promising speakers. The event runs from 3:00 to 9:00 pm 5:00 PM on Friday and from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm on Saturday.
