In Search Of The Great Pumpkin

The Rendezvous PTO of Jackson holds its 33rd Annual Pumpkin Sale on the town square Saturday morning. The popular event begins at 10:00 am and continues until the pumpkins are sold out, which organizers say always happens early. Pumpkins are provided to the PTO by Smiths Foods at cost, and the money raised by the sale on the square provides funding for special programs for Colter and Jackson Elementary Schools. Along with the pumpkin sale are the sales of baked goods, crafts for the kids and face painting. The Rendezvous PTO is an organization which, as an independent entity not affiliated with a national association, directs all of the resources donated by its members back into the schools.
