Triangle X Operators File Lawsuit
It’s supposed to be a lifetime lease. That’s what a lawsuit filed in federal court by the operators of Triangle X Ranch for the past 85 years says after the park service announced a competitive bid for the operation of the dude ranch. For the first time since Triangle X Guest Ranch became part of the park, the National Park Service announced a competitive bidding process to determine who should run it. Brothers Harold, John and Donald Turner filed a lawsuit in federal court in Cheyenne on Monday asserting their rights to spend the rest of their lives there. The lawsuit cites a 1950 law which created the park , which states that people living there when it was formed along with their heirs may live out their lives there.
