Plane Crash Investigated

Authorities are still investigating a late-night plane crash near Lexington, Oregon, last Wednesday that claimed the life of the 65-year-old pilot Stephen Lunceford, of Tetonia, Idaho and seriously injured the passenger 37-year-old Jeffery Smock of San Francisco, California. Morrow County Sheriff’s Deputy Lee Jeffries says Smock managed to crawl and walk to a nearby residence to seek help despite a leg injury.  He is reportedly in serious condition in a Bend, Oregon hospital.
