Boards Consider Appointments
Members of the Jackson Town Council and Teton County Commission last night selected a contractor to redesign the intersection where Pearl and Flat Creek meet Broadway in East Jackson. Mayor Mark Barron says the intersection there has over the years been problematic as the volume of traffic through town has increased. At the same meeting, the two boards discussed the appointment of a lodging tax board to determine the use of those funds raised by the new county tax and determined a schedule for the selection process to take place. Barron says applications will be accepted through March fourth and candidates will be interviewed through the day March 17th. The two boards hope to have that lodging tax board selected then by the end of that month.
