Dog Shoots Victor Man

A 48-year-old Victor man is hospitalized after being accidentally shot in the abdomen with a shotgun by his dog.  According to the Teton County, Idaho Sheriff’s Office, Steven Coburn had been duck hunting with friends and had placed their guns on the floor in the back seat of the truck in which they were riding.  Sheriff’s investigators say an elderly Golden Retriever was also riding in the back seat and apparently stepped on the trigger of the loaded gun.  Investigators say the safety was on, but apparently jammed because of ice.  Coburn was airlifted to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center for treatment.
