A popular Nordic ski resort in West Yellowstone, Montana is now being groomed in time for the long holiday weekend. Custer/Gallatin National Forest Spokesperson Mariah Leuschen says the Rendezvous Ski Trail system, located on the Gallatin National Forest, this year expanded trails and cutoffs, posted new junction signs and maps, and improved the Biathlon Range. From December 1st to March 31st, skiers will need a permit to use the trail system as per the Federal Lands Recreation Enhancement Act. Permit prices are $8 per day per skier, $40 for an individual season permit, and $75 for a family season permit. The facility is frequently used by the Jackson Hole High School Nordic team for early-season practice.
