JHHS Speechies Make It Four

speech

The Jackson Hole High School Speech and Debate Team improved on an already strong season as they won their fourth consecutive tournament this season at the Holiday Classic, held at Cheyenne East High School on December 16-17. This is the largest meet held in Wyoming each season.  Forty teams were entered, including many large Denver area high schools; some bringing 70 students.  Jackson’s squad of 15 was again one of the smallest entries at the meet.  This did not prevent Jackson from besting the other ten 3A teams present.  In fact, Jackson scored 28 points overall as compared to the 51 points scored collectively by all other 3A schools and bested nearly all 4A schools present. Cherry Creek High School from Aurora, Colorado, with an enrollment of 3500 students, was the overall winner of the tournament.
