Dubois Museum

The Fremont County Commission has designated funds for the Fremont County Museums Board to plan and design a replacement Dubois Museum. The County Commissioners last October approved a recommendation by the Capital Improvement and Maintenance Program: Long-term Committee to award a $125,000 grant from the Fremont County General Fund. The available funds will pay for the planning and design process for the replacement Dubois Museum facility. A new structure would provide much needed storage and additional space for interpretive displays. Over the coming months, members of the Fremont County Museums Board, the Dubois Museum staff and Dubois area residents will meet to develop conceptual, strategic, and interpretive plans for a new facility.
