Could Grizzly 399 and her cubs have company wandering about the area in January?  It was suggested on 399’s Facebook page that a grizzly had been spotted on Phillips Pass south of Rendezvous Peak Saturday.  At this point, Grand Teton National Park Spokesperson Jackie Skaggs says 399 was last seen heading north. Skaggs says reports of 399’s activities are becoming scarcer since she was last seen with her cubs on January second near Pilgrim Creek. Skaggs says biologists are hoping she was heading to her winter den to at last be going into hibernation.
