Wyoming Scores High With Snowmobilers

Island Park snowmobile

The Greater Yellowstone area has emerged again this year as a snowmobiling Mecca in the United States with Wyoming emerging as home to four of the top ten trails selected by readers of “SnoWest” magazine for the 2011/2012 winter season. Among those trails are the Continental Divide, Snowy Range, Big Horn and Alpine/Wyoming Range. The Continental Divide Trail, listed number three on the list, is described by “SnoWest” as, in their words, “one of the West’s best riding spots with its spectacular views and legendary powder.” The Alpine/Wyoming Range at number nine, rounded out Wyoming’s representation on the Top Ten list. About that trail SnoWest said “Wyoming Range is located between Alpine and Kemmerer and boasts approximately 335 miles of trails. Expect deep snow, beautiful scenery and fantastic off-trail riding.”  “SnoWest” readers named West Yellowstone as number one followed by Island Park as number two. Still, Wyoming had more trails listed among the top ten than any other state.

  • Find some new places to fish - April 16, 2014
Instead of fishing the same old places this spring, do something different. Find a new honey hole. You don’t have to go to the same place every time you go fishing. When you find a good spot to fish, it’s nice to know you can go back there and catch fish. But if your honey […]
