Roads Reopened
Yellowstone National Park crews were able to open Sylvan Pass and the East Entrance over the weekend after conducting extensive avalanche mitigation above the road. The pass had been closed for several days due to adverse weather conditions and the threat of avalanches. Park officials advise that all roads that are normally open in the park to over-snow travel are once again open and available. Closer to home, after 40 hours straight of work on Teton Pass, Wyoming Department of Transportation crews were able to reopen the pass Saturday after twelve major avalanches and an estimated 20 smaller ones had forced its closure Thursday night.
